A note on remote working: Cazana has always embraced remote working. Due to COVID-19, we have doubled down on this, and as a result, this role can be a fully remote one. We are happy for you to work wherever suits you best, even if that is not our lovely shiny office. Post-COVID, you will be able to use the office if you would like, but you will only be required to do so if your manager has a good reason to get everyone together. We are now a fully distributed workforce and will be maintaining that approach even after the pandemic.
Here at Cazana, we have a fast-moving, fast-growing technology team, and we are looking for a Cloud Engineer to come and join us.
You know your stuff when it comes to cloud management. Maybe you are currently working at a start-up, or as part of a larger team in a larger company, but in either environment, you are the go-to for all things cloud engineering. People know that it is you that knows how the magic happens, you that writes the code and makes things connect and work, and that you know your stuff.
You also know what is needed to be secure and compliant. You are familiar with infosec compliance and have dealt with it in your career. Security is something you know the importance of, and you're never bothered being 'that person' who reminds people of this fact.
But you are restless. Maybe you do not have the autonomy you would like. Maybe you are looking to have more of an influence than your current role allows. Maybe you want to be able to work with a wider team of engineers, helping embed best practice, mentor new talent, and have a wider impact than just a standard role.
This is why you should be working for us!
We’re different. We’re using tech to seriously mess with a traditionally manual part of the automotive sector. We’re ambitious, and strongly backed, whilst still being masters of what we do.
About us and what you would be doing:
Using big data and predictive analytics, Cazana analyses millions of automotive transactions daily. Its award-winning technology gives real-time access to the value and the risk associated with every vehicle on the road. The company is trusted by industry leaders such as dealerships, insurers, financial institutions, and manufacturers.
As a Cloud Engineer, you will perform a critical role in providing a reliable platform as well as continuing to design and support the best solutions for the business. Whilst working closely with the technology & project teams, you will be given the autonomy to design the infrastructure for applications in AWS. Whilst keeping up to date on new tools & techniques, you will also be required to provide recommendations for individual projects, as well as future technical roadmaps, planning for both internal and user-driven changes and growth.
You will also be required to perform operational activities within the technical estate; such as incident resolution and maintenance, maintaining the cybersecurity stance of the IT infrastructure, identifying areas for automation, and delivering automated functions. Part of these operational activities will also include being a key stakeholder in completing any infosec diligence.
You will also be ensuring that the AWS tools are up to date and guiding the improvement of services as the AWS platform evolves.
